WATERFORD, CT (May 28, 2015) – Marriott Hartford Downtown has announced the appointment of Nick Lorusso as their new Director of Operations. In his new role, Lorusso is responsible for overseeing all rooms and food & beverage departments of the hotel, including budgeting, scheduling, associate training and development, inventory, as well as strict adherence to all Marriott and Waterford Hotel Group standards. Waterford Hotel Group, Inc. professionally manages the 409 room Marriott Hartford Downtown.
Lorusso joins the Marriott Hartford Downtown team from his most recent position as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Sheraton Birmingham, Alabama where he was responsible for five outlets of food & beverage operations as well as 375,000 square feet of meeting space. His past experience also includes serving as the Director of Operations / Assistant General Manager at the Sheraton Beach Resort in Key Largo, Florida.

Lorusso holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University. He currently lives in Hartford.
