DEER VALLEY, UT (January 11, 2023) – Goldener Hirsch, Auberge Resorts Collection, the Austrian chalet-inspired resort announced today the appointment of Chef Senthil Krishnamurthy to Executive Chef. With over two decades of fine dining experience, proficiency in eight languages and a passion for the greater Salt Lake and Park City communities, Chef Senthil exudes culinary excellence and cultivates a sense of community in the heart of Deer Valley.

“We are delighted to promote Chef Senthil to the esteemed position of Executive Chef,” says General Manager Justin Robbins. “Goldener Hirsch prides itself on meaningful and interesting culinary experiences, and our commitment to utilizing our local bounty and purveyors. Chef Senthil is a perfect representation of these cornerstones and we are excited for the newest iteration of our program with him at the helm.”

A graduate of Madurai Kamaraj University in Madurai, India, Chef Senthil has since lived in Utah for more than 15 years, fostering personal relationships with local farmers and mastering the use of their produce. He began his Utah culinary journey at the High West Distillery and Saloon in Park City and has served various positions at other acclaimed Salt Lake restaurants such as One-O-Eight Bistro, The Front Climbing Club and Ashoka Cuisines, ultimately landing him at the beloved and Bavarian-influenced Goldener Hirsch Restaurant and greater Goldener Hirsch culinary program.

“My mission is to go beyond purely culinary excellence and provide a memorable and personal dining experience,” says Chef Senthil. “As the leader of the culinary team, my primary focus is to instill a guest-centric approach in everything that we do.”

Due to his strong relationships with local purveyors of more than a decade, the new menu will feature a staggering 70% of locally-sourced ingredients, spotlighting the highest quality produce in the Park City region. As a personal favorite of Chef Senthil’s, truffles will be spotlighted in the new menu with an emphasis on their unique flavors and aromas.

Outside of Goldener Hirsch, Chef Senthil works as an adjunct professor at Salt Lake Community College, where he leads lectures and conducts hands-on demonstrations for the school’s Culinary Arts Major. Chef Senthil also enjoys hiking the beautiful landscape of the Wasatch mountains with his family.
