LOUIS, MO (MARCH 28, 2024) – The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis is delighted to announce the promotion of Chef Yalcin Arslan to Executive Chef, overseeing all culinary aspects of the Forbes Four-Star rated property. Since joining The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, Chef Arslan has worked to enhance the hotel’s Food & Beverage program and lead the team through a period of culinary restoration.
“My mission as Executive Chef is to elevate the overall dining experience for each guest at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis by maintaining a luxury level of stewardship and working alongside the culinary team to bring a fresh perspective to the current hotel offerings,” said Chef Arslan. “I believe every meal is a celebration, and I look forward to creating unforgettable moments for The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis guests.”
With over 18 years of experience, Chef Arslan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, including time spent as Chef de Partie of the Michelin rated Enigma restaurant at the Palazzo Versace Dubai Hotel. For the past eight years, Chef Arslan focused his career within the Marriott International Brand, holding senior culinary leadership roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty in Kazakhstan. In his newly appointed leadership position at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, Chef Arslan will oversee the entire culinary and stewarding team, including Casa Don Alfonso, the hotel’s signature Italian restaurant; In-Room Dining; The Lobby Lounge; The Cigar Club; Banquets and Stewarding. Within his first months at the property, he led the hotel to the #1 rank in Food Quality for Luxury North American properties in Q1 and has demonstrated an innate ability to create motivated, inspired teams.
Outside of the hotel, Chef Arslan focuses on family, spending time with his lovely wife Yesim, watching and playing soccer with his energetic, young son, Arden Uras, and is an avid fan of the Turkish professional football club, Galatasaray Fc based in Istanbul.
