CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – June 16, 2023Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile, the award-winning, luxury hotel located in the Gold Coast Historic District, has announced Daniel Höfler as the property’s Executive Chef. In his new role, Höfler will lead the culinary team in developing innovative, seasonal menu offerings with the goal to create memorable dining experiences for guests.

Höfler’s fervor for cuisine and hospitality began when he was growing up in Berlin, where his parents loved to cook and entertain family and friends at their home. Since his graduation from culinary school, Höfler has established an impressive resume of experience within the industry over the past two decades. His portfolio includes various culinary achievements, from orchestrating exclusive banquets for high-profile clients to working at esteemed, fine-dining restaurants throughout Berlin, Dubai and Washington D.C. Having joined the Sofitel Chicago team in 2018, Höfler worked his way from the Banquet Chef de Cuisine to his new Executive Chef position.

“I enjoy connecting with people from all over the world through a shared passion for food, dining and upscale hospitality,” says Höfler. “Being surrounded by a lively culture and outstanding architecture in the heart of the Gold Coast, I feel inspired every day to create an exciting, modern menu and deliver an unforgettable culinary experience to our guests.”
