NewcrestImage has expanded its portfolio to 28 owned and operated properties with the opening of a five-floor, 134-room Hyatt Place in the industrial-chic Bricktown historic district just east of Oklahoma City’s downtown business center.

“Together with our partners at Hyatt Hotels, we have created a hotel that combines uptown style with down-home comfort,” according to Mehul Patel, Chairman and CEO of NewcrestImage. “It is a distinctive destination that respects the neighborhood’s past as a warehouse district, while emphasizing the area’s repurposed and revitalized modern spirit.”

The Hyatt Place features a “cozy contemporary” style in guest rooms plus a lobby with customized, locally themed design and furnishings. Amenities include multiple food options, notably freshly-prepared meals 24 hours a day and a “coffee to cocktails” bar; a 24-hour gym with cardio equipment, LCD touchscreens, and free earbuds; and 1,800 square feet of flexible, high-tech meeting space.

The Bricktown neighborhood is a lively entertainment area with restaurants, piano lounges, and wine bars, alongside an eclectic mix of retail shops that sell products from gourmet foods to home décor to clothing.

Other attractions include the 13,000-seat Chicksaw Bricktown Ballpark; the one million-square-foot Cox Convention Center; and water taxis that take riders along the Bricktown Water Canal for tours and dinner cruises.

Dallas-based NewcrestImage operates two other properties in Bricktown – a 124-room Holiday Inn Express since 2015 and a 142-room AC Hotel since December of 2017.
