Charlottesville, Virginia (February 23, 2015) – Hotels using the Regatta booking engine on their websites now have a competitive advantage in meta search engines. Regatta allows hotels to show availability, even when all of the Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) are unable to do so. The patent-pending hotel booking engine even allows the hotel to show a lower rate in the meta search engines. The best part? It can all be done without any rate parity violations.

Regatta Travel Solutions has earned a reputation for bringing highly innovative tools to the industry that empower hotels to significantly grow their direct online booking volume. Its latest innovation allows guests who are willing to switch rooms during their stay to combine two different room types into one booking. In the example below, the guest searches for a 6 night stay. The 1 bedroom apartments are only available for the first 5 nights, and the higher room categories are only available for the last 2 nights. Therefore, all of the OTAs are unable to book the guest into the hotel for the desired 6 nights and therefore are unable to display availability in Tripadvisor. Regatta, however, allows the guest to choose the 1 bedroom for the first 5 nights, and another room type for the last night.

Once the guest has selected the first room type desired, the system allows them to choose a combination of room types to complete the 6 night stay.

Since all of the OTAs have access to the same rates and availability, there are no rate parity violations.

“We listen very closely to what hotels are asking for and we respond quickly,” said Ashwin Kamlani, Founder & CEO of Regatta Travel Solutions. “This idea actually came from a smaller high end resort that felt that their online booking engine was turning away potential guests by showing no availability when in fact they could accommodate the guest. The guests would have to call the property in order to book.”
