Charlottesville, Virginia (January 12, 2016) – Regatta Travel Solutions announced today that The US Virgin Islands Department of Tourism has chosen to use the Regatta booking engine on their new official destination website,, to enable potential visitors to book hotels, attractions and packages on the destination’s official website.

“We invited several booking engine companies to present to our hoteliers so that the decision would be a collaborative effort between the Department of Tourism and the local suppliers,” said Beverly Nicholson-Doty, the Commissioner of Tourism for the United States Virgin Islands. “It was clear that Regatta had the most experience in the Caribbean region by far, and had the most sophisticated technology as well. The hotels that participated in the process were impressed with what Regatta brings to the table and they are excited to launch this new project.”

“We are committed to helping Caribbean destinations and travel suppliers create a more cost-effective sales channel than what is typically provided by the major Online Travel Agencies,” said Ashwin Kamlani, Founder of Regatta Travel Solutions. “We do this by incorporating the latest technology and tactics into our products and services to improve the shopping experience and increase website conversions. USVI will be the 10th Caribbean destination to implement Regatta’s booking engine. Many of these destinations believed in us when we were just getting started and we will never forget that. We are humbled by the confidence our Caribbean clients place in us and remain focused on constantly improving our products and services for them.”
