MIAMI, FL: (December 22, 2022) SH Hotels & Resorts, a sustainable hotel brand management company that operates 1 Hotels, Treehouse Hotels & Baccarat Hotels & Resorts, today announced the hiring of Marco Selva as Executive Vice President of Operations. In this role, Marco will lead all operations for the company’s current portfolio consisting of three brands and a current total of 12 properties. He will also oversee operations for the robust pipeline of soon-to-open hotels, with 10 new openings expected over the next 3-5 years. Marco will be responsible for financial performance across the SH Hotels portfolio and will work closely with the Executive Team to maximize performance across the board.

Marco has over 20 years of experience in luxury & lifestyle hospitality and asset management, including oversight of multiple international & domestic hotel projects at the regional and corporate levels.
He has extensive experience working with owners and developers to assure long-term success for luxury and lifestyle assets. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Luxury & Lifestyle Hotels for Highgate. Prior to this, he supervised lifestyle hotels for SBE in Miami under the SLS and Hyde brands. He launched St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort & Residences and served as Managing Director, where he earned a distinguished Forbes 5-Star and AAA Five Diamond rating within the first year and was nominated as Hotelier of the year by Virtuoso. Prior, Marco was Regional Vice President for Ritz Carlton, where we oversaw a portfolio of 20 hotels in the Southeast United States, the Caribbean and Latin America. Marco resides in Miami and sits on the Board of the Diabetes Research Institute, a nonprofit affiliate of the University of Miami School of Medicine.
