WASHINGTON, DC (July 14, 2022) Pendry Washington DC – The Wharf is pleased to announce today the appointments of Alexander Schnoeller to the role of director of operations and Kate Thompson to the role of director of sales and marketing. Schnoeller and Thompson collectively bring more than 30 years of hospitality experience and will play an integral part in the opening and future success of the brand’s waterfront property in Washington DC.

As director of operations, Schnoeller will oversee each department to drive profit and customer satisfaction goals, while also upholding and maintaining Pendry brand standards. Schnoeller brings 13 years of industry experience holding a variety of leadership positions, most recently as director of food and beverage at both JW Marriott in Nashville and Nobu Hospitality, Eden Rock.

A seasoned industry veteran with more than 20 years of hospitality experience, Thompson brings a wealth of knowledge directing and managing teams within corporate hotel groups, in addition to luxury boutique properties. Thompson most recently served as area director of sales for Viceroy Washington D.C. and Hotel Zena, a Viceroy Urban Retreat. At Pendry Washington DC – The Wharf, Thompson will lead implementation of strategic sales, marketing and communications plans to position the property as a top, luxury destination.
