Expanded Editorial Coverage, New Partnerships Increase Distribution by More Than 35 Percent

ATLANTA — March 20, 2023Hospitality Upgrade, an industry-leading technology publication, is positioned for growth in 2023 and beyond. The magazine, which celebrated 30 years in business last year, covers a wide variety of tech topics, including privacy, payment security, connectivity, guest management solutions, artificial intelligence, property systems, infrastructure, data analysis, revenue strategies, and more. In the last 12 months, the publication’s distribution has increased by more than 35 percent.

Hospitality Upgrade recently expanded its editorial coverage of the gaming sector. It also added feature stories about women in technology as well as special reports that highlight specific solutions, such as food and beverage, personal safety devices and payments. The Spring 2023 issue includes the fourth annual Technology Rock Stars section, which profiles 10 of the industry’s leading technologists and is one of the magazine’s most popular features. The issue will be distributed in early April.

The publication is also widely recognized for its two annual invitation-only events, the Executive Vendor Summit (EVS) and the CIO Summit. With attendance limited to presidents and C-level executives, the conferences offer quality speakers, in-depth discussions, exciting social events, and an unparalleled networking environment. In addition, each year the magazine awards the John Cahill Student Honorary Seat to a distinguished college student who has been recommended by his or her professors as having exceptional potential in the hotel technology industry. The recipient is given the opportunity to attend the CIO Summit and meet many of the industry’s top executives. The award was created in memory of CIO supporter and industry leader John Cahill.

Also contributing to the publication’s success are its relationships with industry-leading groups, including the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP), Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), Hunter Hotel Investment Conference, Native Nation Events and The Lodging Conference. Hospitality Upgrade recently renewed its longstanding relationship with HFTP, producer of the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC). The magazine is designated as the exclusive affiliated technology publication for the event.

New partnerships with AHLA’s The Hospitality Show, AAHOA’s Convention & Trade Show (AAHOACON), and Native Nation’s Tribal Casino & Hotel Development Conference will further enhance the magazine’s distribution and readership. Hospitality Upgrade’s Spring 2023 issue will be included in attendee registration bags at the upcoming AAHOACON event in April.

“We’re grateful for the success we’ve seen over the last three decades and anticipate even greater things to come,” said Rich Siegel, founder and publisher of Hospitality Upgrade. “Hospitality is an exciting industry, and the technology used in the business is changing rapidly. We appreciate our many valuable partnerships, and we’re thrilled to bring our readers in the hotel and gaming worlds the information that helps them improve daily operations and guest service.”

Hospitality Upgrade’s Executive Vendor Summit, powered by HFTP, will be held March 29-31 at Loews New Orleans Hotel. The program sessions will cover a variety of topics, including mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and security. The popular CIO panel also will be featured.
