Recent HIS implementation of content streaming and virtual assistant platform at luxury Minneapolis property to provide real-world experience of BeyondTV GuestCast solution during world’s largest technology show.

MINNEAPOLIS — June 11, 2019 — Each year, hotel technology executives from around the world flock to HITEC in search of the most advanced technologies to address rapidly evolving guest needs, as well as enhancing operational efficiency. This year, guests staying at the ultra-modern Elliot Park Hotel in downtown Minneapolis during the show will have a unique advantage. As a result of a recent Hotel Internet Services (HIS) implementation of BeyondTV and BeyondTV GuestCast solutions, Elliot Park guests will enjoy the convenience of advanced content casting and voice-activated technologies in their guestrooms. In addition, HIS’ comprehensive suite of Wi-Fi, guest entertainment and virtual assistant solutions will be showcased during exhibit hours at booth #2132 at the Minneapolis Convention Center, June 18-20, providing attendees with valuable insight into how they can affordably cater to the growing demand for personalization and service.

Joining the Elliot Park Hotel in adopting HIS BeyondTV and BeyondTV GuestCast technologies are numerous properties and hotel management companies around the US, including Coury Hospitality, the hotel management company that oversees Elliot Park Hotel. Due to the successful implementation there, Coury Hospitality has since implemented BeyondTV at five other properties in its portfolio.

Through BeyondTV’s integration with Amazon’s Alexa solution, hotel guests gain the ability to control guestroom television functions using only their voice. Optional voice-activated features include controls for guestroom lighting, thermostats and drapes. Through an integration with Volara, a leader in voice-based solutions for the hospitality industry, guests are also able to leverage BeyondTV’s voice control functionality to order a variety of property amenities from the comfort of their guestrooms.

As a comprehensive and secure entertainment platform, guests can also utilize BeyondTV to stream personal content from their devices onto guestroom televisions without first needing to input sensitive login information. Utilizing patented data privacy technology, BeyondTV further leads the industry in safeguarding guest information with features that include automatically erasing all usage data upon check-out. Guests have the option to delete their personal data at any time during their stay with a push of a remote control button. Using BeyondTV’s interactive dashboard, hotel staff can communicate with guests regarding available services and amenities. Information shared via television can further be customized for specific guestrooms to accommodate group-specific messaging. This includes the ability to broadcast meeting agendas, local events and special promotions.

“As exhibitors at HITEC Minneapolis, we are pleased that attendees not only have the opportunity to visit our booth to learn about the latest advances in guest convenience and entertainment technology, but that they can now experience the benefits that our solutions offer for themselves at properties worldwide,“ said Gary Patrick, CEO of Hotel Internet Services. “As more hoteliers are moving toward adopting solutions that mirror the enhanced convenience and functionality that many guests now have in their own homes, we are pleased to provide solutions that help them accomplish this new industry standard in a way that also enhances their operational efficiency, helps control costs and even generates added revenue.”

HIS will conduct live demonstrations of BeyondTV and BeyondTV GuestCast at booth #2132 during HITEC Minneapolis, taking place June 17-20.
