Colorado Springs, CO – (October 15, 2021) – Garden of the Gods Resort and Club has announced two new Vice Presidents within its sales and marketing team.
Denise Perkins has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing from her prior role as Director of Sales and Marketing. Previously, Perkins also served as Director of Marketing for the resort where she honed her skills contributing to business growth of the AAA Four-Diamond rated resort through an array of innovative strategies and forward-thinking tactics.
Garden of the Gods Resort and Club is also pleased to announce the addition of Michael Garrow as Vice President of Sales. Garrow has accumulated more than 30 years of hospitality experience at some of the country’s top resorts.
“We are fortunate to have found someone with such broad experience in Sales and Catering to join our family,” states James Gibson, CEO and President, Garden of the Gods Resort and Club. “I believe Michael will fit in perfectly with our team and culture, and work in superb alignment with our marketing team, led by Denise Perkins. I am excited to see them jointly work together as they continue to grow our business to become an internationally recognized wellness destination.”
Most recently, Garrow has served as Director of Sales at the resort where he began his career – Meadowood Napa Valley – for the last nine years. During this time, he was responsible for group and leisure sales, including reservations and revenue management. Garrow drove the property to success by managing a major renovation, along with receiving a Triple Forbes Five-Star rating for the resort, spa and restaurant.
He spent the first decade in food and beverage operations at Meadowood rising in the ranks to include Catering and Conference Services Manager and Sales Manager positions. Between his stints in Napa, Garrow was named as the Director of Catering and Conference Services for The Peaks Resort & Spa in beautiful Telluride, Colorado, before transitioning east to serve as Director of Catering at Kingsmill Resort in Virginia. In his time at the property, he was elevated to Director of Catering and Conference Services and, ultimately, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Perkins looks forward to further expanding her skills as she steps into this new role as Vice President of Marketing. She shares, “We welcome Michael to the team, and look forward to what his experience will bring to the resort. It is an incredible honor to receive this promotion and continue to work with a team of this caliber.”
