MIAMI (September 25, 2018)- Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, recognized by BestColleges.com as one of the nation’s top hospitality programs, has welcomed three new faculty members this fall.

The new faculty members bring extensive industry and teaching experience in real estate acquisition, new restaurant concepts, and trade show, convention and event management.

George Macropulos brings decades of experience as an executive in the hospitality industry with expertise in revenue management and real estate development. Brian Connors will join FIU after 15 years of successfully designing and executing new restaurant concepts. Dan Cormany will return to FIU from Silicon Valley, where he has specialized in special events, trade shows and convention management.

“Like many of our existing faculty members, professors Macropulos, Connors and Cormany possess invaluable industry knowledge and experience, and they have proven track records as educators,” said Michael Cheng, interim dean of the Chaplin School. “They come to us with a wide network of industry connections. That’s the foundation for student success.”
