The Experience-Driven Brand Will Open Its Seventh Hotel – Its First in Washington, D.C. – in 2024

WASHINGTON, DC (October 18, 2023)Arlo Hotels, the independent lifestyle hotel brand with properties in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Miami and Chicago, announces the topping off of Arlo Washington D.C., its newest property in Washington, D.C. The 12-story boutique hotel, slated to open in August 2024, will be the brand’s seventh property in the U.S. The hotel is owned by Quadrum Global, an integrated development, investment management and advisory group focused on real estate opportunities.

Arlo Washington D.C. will comprise 229,846 square feet, which includes the restoration and preservation of the original 42,942-square-foot, five-story building, The Harrison Apartments, D.C.’s oldest known surviving conventional apartment building that has stood since 1882. Arlo Hotels is adding 186,904 square feet of space to the property, where the sixth through 12th floors, the penthouse, four meeting rooms, and an indoor-outdoor rooftop lounge and pool will be located. The hotel will also feature a restaurant and bar, a “Bodega” café and lounge, and an interior courtyard.

Ideal for leisure and business travelers, Arlo Washington D.C. is conveniently located four blocks from Washington, D.C.’s Union Station and less than a mile from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Situated in the city’s bustling Judiciary Square neighborhood, the 445-room hotel is close to globally recognized landmarks such as The Capitol and the Supreme Court Building, fine dining options and upscale shopping.

Arlo Washington D.C. will be designed by Meyer Davis, an award-winning firm at the forefront of global, upscale commercial design, and //3877 Design, a boutique design firm focused on high-end residential, restaurant and hospitality projects in Washington, D.C.

As part of the greater brand experience, Arlo Washington D.C. will feature Arlo’s signature Deep Wood scent in the reception and lobby while providing guests with unique in-room amenities, including fortune cookies, on-demand fitness videos in partnership with Alo Moves (the online fitness arm of Alo Yoga), and a thoughtfully stocked coffee station and refrigerator.
