Cape Coral, FL – November 15, 2023 – The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Trapani as Director of Sales and Marketing. An experienced hospitality industry leader, recognized for her work across Marriott International for nearly three decades, Jennifer will oversee all sales and marketing initiatives for the waterfront resort. Additionally, Jennifer will be responsible for identifying innovative business-generating strategies, implementing targeted sales techniques to broaden guest outreach, and optimizing revenue growth.

“Jennifer’s expertise in sales and marketing, particularly within the East Coast and Florida markets, positions her as an invaluable addition to our team,” said Barry Kadel, General Manager of Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village. “Her experience with catering and events significantly enhances our capability to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This skillset will be especially beneficial as our events and corporate meetings business grows throughout 2024 and beyond.”

Jennifer has spent the entirety of her twenty-seven-year hospitality career, with Marriott International. Starting as a Restaurant Manager, Jennifer worked her way up to leadership roles within sales and marketing at hotels and resorts throughout the East Coast, including Westin Hilton Head Resort and Spa; Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa; Marriott Hilton Head; Fort Lauderdale Harbor Beach Resort; and The Wardman Park Marriott. At the Mid-Atlantic Multi Sales Office, she received several promotions taking her from Group & Catering Sales Leader to the Director of Sales for North & South Carolina, and finally Director of Hotel Sales for the entire Mid-Atlantic Sales Team. In 2021, she was selected as the Director of Group Sales for the Renaissance Washington DC hotel. During these two years, she was an integral part of the hotel’s transformation to the Westin brand which included a 94-million-dollar renovation.

“I look forward to nurturing existing relationships and building new ones with internal and external partners as we enhance the Westin Cape Coral Resort experience,” says Jennifer. “My background in sales, revenue management, operations and marketing has provided me with the expertise and insight required to step into this role and guide the resort to continued success.”

Jennifer attended Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Business Hotel Management. An embodiment of the Westin brand, Jennifer is an avid and competitive athlete and just completed her first, Half Ironman competition.
