Upgrading all 429 guest rooms and adding meeting space

May 28, 2015 – FORT WORTH, TX – The Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa, one of the city’s largest for guest rooms and meeting space, has completed a multi-million dollar, property-wide transformation in order to meet the needs of groups, individual business travelers and weekend leisure guests.

The longtime Fort Worth property was transformed in every way – all-new guest rooms and suites featuring the signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, new furnishings, new bath amenities, carpet and lighting; transformed Club Level guest rooms and Club Lounge; enhanced and re-named meeting spaces, an all-new Lobby Bar and lobby-level Perks breakfast and lunch bistro.

The hotel also added two first-floor meeting spaces, a Screening Room for social gatherings and a board room for smaller meetings, while expanding its The Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft where guests enjoy complimentary high-speed Internet access, printing capabilities and charging stations.

“Feedback from our guests has been terrific,” notes John Yeung, general manager of the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa. “They’re delighted to have a brand-new, downtown hotel walking distance to the Convention Center and minutes from local attractions.”

The property-wide facelift also is welcome news at the Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau as the organization now can tout the all-new hotel and its proximity to the Fort Worth Convention Center when it presents the city to convention planners.

“A renovated, full-service hotel near the Convention Center is a huge plus when it comes to attracting large groups,” says Bob Jameson, president and CEO of the Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The Sheraton will now be an even greater benefit when pitching city-wide meetings.”

The 429-room Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa offers seven room types, including the largest guest rooms in the city, according to Yeung.

The property is the only Fort Worth hotel offering the Starwood Preferred Guest program where guests can earn and redeem points across nine brands at more than 1,100 hotels in 100 countries. It also is the only full-service hotel in Fort Worth managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts which assumed management of the property in 2013.

Other features at the hotel include the Spa Beaubelle, offering a full range of treatments for guests and local residents, 24-hour fitness facility, indoor heated pool, whirlpool and sauna and a three-meal restaurant.

Located downtown at 1701 Commerce Street, the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa is minutes from Sundance Square, TCU, Fort Worth Zoo, Fort Worth Cultural District, Bass Performance Hall, Fort Worth Stockyards and other attractions. It also is convenient to AT&T Stadium, Rangers Ballpark and Six Flags Over Texas via nearby Interstate 35 and Interstate 30.

Guests also can board the city’s free, vintage-style Molly The Trolley to get around downtown with daily service from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. A trolley pick-up spot is located just outside the hotel.
