MIDDLEBURG, VA (May 1, 2018) – Salamander Hotels & Resorts, the luxury hotel company founded by Sheila Johnson, has appointed Tracey Slavonia as its new chief sales & marketing officer.

She will oversee corporate strategic sales, marketing and revenue management initiatives for the company’s growing portfolio. The Salamander Signature Collection includes classic luxurious experiences at Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg, VA; The Henderson in Destin, FL; NOPSI Hotel in New Orleans; and Hotel Bennett, opening in 2018 in Charleston, SC. The Salamander Golf Collection features three grand golf resorts in Florida: Innisbrook in Tampa Bay, Reunion in Orlando and Hammock Beach in Palm Coast. Slavonia joins Salamander, which is based outside Washington, D.C., from the Enchantment Group, where she served as chief marketing officer. Slavonia has also previously served as chief marketing officer for Canyon Ranch in Tucson, AZ; vice president of sales and marketing for Miraval Resorts in New York and Tucson; and vice president of sales, marketing and revenue development for PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Slavonia, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, earned a bachelor of science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University before beginning her hospitality career with Hilton. Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions with The Wigwam in Litchfield Park, AZ; KSL Resorts in La Quinta, CA; and St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point, CA. She is relocating to Northern Virginia from Scottsdale, AZ, with her husband Robert, 12-year-old son Robert and their little dog Daisy Doodle.
