BEAVER CREEK, Colo. (June 19, 2019) – Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is pleased to announce the appointment of Herb Rackliff as the 190-room Rocky Mountain luxury resort’s new general manager. A tenured industry veteran, Rackliff is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel including an extensive lobby renovation, which is slated to finish by the fall of this year.

“My goal at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is to continue the legacy of exceptional service and high level of guest experience at the resort,” said Rackliff. “I’m thrilled to be joining the team here and look forward to elevating and enhancing our offerings and getting to know the Beaver Creek community.”

Rackliff’s resume boasts more than 30 years with Hyatt. He has a proven track record as a highly motivated self-starter with strong leadership, financial management, analytical, problem solving, communication and persuasive presentation skills. Most recently, Rackliff served as general manager at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in Albuquerque, N.M., where he recently led the property through an extensive renovation process. Before that, he served as a general manager at Hyatt Regency’s in Calgary, Cincinnati and Milwaukee. He has deep Colorado roots, having received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver and beginning his career at Grand Hyatt Denver.

Rackliff is also bringing along an adorable new Park Hyatt Beaver Creek mascot – Oreo, his six-year-old purebred Newfoundland. The pet-friendly resort is the perfect home for Oreo; he loves long walks in the mountains and gazing out of Park Hyatt Beaver Creek’s floor-to-ceiling lobby windows.
