Irvine, CA (November 4, 2016) Pacifica Hotels, the largest owner and operator of independent hotels along the Pacific Coast, is pleased to introduce Oceanpoint Ranch with the $4,000,000 renovation of Central California Coast landmark – San Simeon Pines Seaside Resort.

Today, Oceanpoint Ranch is officially debuting the first 27 fully remodeled guestrooms which feature a modern ranch-chic motif. From cozy fireplaces and beamed ceilings to the interplay of textiles including bright quilts, plaid headboards, animal print floors, and rich leather accents –the ranch on Moonstone Beach combines a relaxed, spacious and outdoor-centric setting with contemporary design, modern amenities and an adventurous spirit. In addition to sparkling new bathrooms, upgraded in-room amenities include 50-inch high definition televisions, mini refrigerators, and high-speed Wi-Fi.

Since opening in 1959, San Simeon Pines Resort, now Oceanpoint Ranch, has been an iconic, family-friendly coastal hotel destination. Located on nine seaside acres with direct access to Moonstone Beach, it boasts a total of 61 unique guest rooms, a solar heated pool, wood burning fireplaces, outdoor fire pits, indoor and outdoor games, and much more. In updating the hotel, Pacifica’s design team sought to bring new life to the ranch aesthetic with high-design upgrades while maintaining the nostalgic camp-like setting with classic outdoor activities.

Guests can challenge each other year-round to a friendly game of shuffleboard, cornhole, croquet, and faux cow roping. Outdoor fire tables provide the ultimate campfire setting for evening s’mores. The resort’s landmark windmill and water tower, visible from Pacific Coast Highway, offer timeless photo opportunities along winding adventure trails.

And more to come: A grab-and-go restaurant, landscaping upgrades, and more are still to come for the ranch in 2017.

Set amidst the Pacific and towering pines, Oceanpoint Ranch provides an unforgettable backdrop for family vacations, reunions, group gatherings, or the quiet escape. Oceanpoint Ranch is ideally situated in the heart of Central California and just off of Pacific Coast Highway, providing easy access to Hearst Castle, downtown Cambria, local wineries, the Piedras Blancas elephant seal sanctuary, and other coastal charms.

Pacifica Hotels now owns and operates six properties along Cambria’s Moonstone Beach, and a total of 34 hotels, most along the California coast. Oceanpoint Ranch remains a part of Pacifica Hotels’ Cambria collection which includes the Pelican Inn & Suites, FogCatcher Inn, Cambria Landing Inn & Suites, Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach, and El Colibri Hotel & Spa.

"Oceanpoint Ranch is a special property in the Pacifica Hotels' portfolio”, said Adam Marquis, Executive Vice President of Pacifica Hotels. “It offers guests a uniquely nostalgic experience with upscale comforts and amenities right on the ocean."

For the past three years, Pacifica has focused primarily on refining and growing its portfolio through strategic asset acquisitions, full-property renovations, and transitioning branded properties to independent status. By reinvesting in coastal boutique and lifestyle hotels, Pacifica seeks to offer guests the ultimate California experience with choices from the San Francisco Bay Area to San Diego.
