Nantucket, MA, March 14, 2019 – As Nantucket prepares for high season, Leigh Anne McDonald has been appointed General Manager of Hotel Pippa, a stylish luxury boutique hotel located steps from downtown.
A passion for the service industry led Leigh Anne to UNH where she graduated with a degree in Hospitality Tourism Planning & Development. During her undergrad, she studied abroad in Switzerland at Glion, one of the top hospitality management schools in the world. Following her graduation, her love of the beach, nature, and history brought her to Nantucket where she started her hospitality career in 2011. Since then, she has gained invaluable experience working for Starwood Hotels & Resorts (now Marriott), Nantucket Island Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels, as well as The Ritz-Carlton Hotels, and most recently managing Union Street Inn where she developed a professional and customer-centric work ethic.
Leigh Anne just took over the role of General Manager at Hotel Pippa, where she looks forward to applying her knowledge and expertise to bring the property to its full potential. After opening its doors last summer, Hotel Pippa has already established a reputation for offering the highest level of service and standards in a stylish yet relaxed environment on Nantucket Island.
Designed with an eye for provocative beauty and calming minimalism, Hotel Pippa is the island’s newest style icon, featuring expressive art by local artists, clean shapes and eye-catching bursts of color. Classic Nantucket architecture frames each guest room's playful, iconoclastic interiors – with worldly attitude and vibrant pops of color. Each room is outfitted with luxury amenities (plush bathrobes, Matouk linens and Davines bath and skincare products), high-end finishes and unforgettable character. The light-filled and immaculately-designed guest rooms are located in the heart of Nantucket, just a stone’s throw from the island’s most exciting galleries, cocktail lounges, restaurants, boutiques and showrooms.
