AURORA, COLO. (January 18, 2016) – Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center, a Commonwealth Hotel Collection (CHC) property, announced the appointment of two key leadership roles for the new hotel development. General Manager Stephan Meier and Director of Sales and Marketing Bill Hume have both joined the hotel, which is expected to open in spring 2016.

Opening in Denver’s rapidly developing neighboring city, Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center will serve the adjacent University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, a hub for medical research and development, meeting both the demand for accommodations and dining. The hotel’s proximity to Denver International Airport and the anticipated Regional Transportation District (RTD) Light Rail line will create a central meeting location for both local and traveling conference attendees.

The hotel, certified under the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), will feature 249 guestrooms and suite accommodations, more than 30,000 square feet of conference and event space, a full service restaurant and lounge with a large outdoor patio, an outdoor swimming pool, and state-of-the-art fitness center.

Stephan Meier brings 25 years of international hospitality experience with both Hilton Worldwide and Hyatt. As general manager, he will oversee all operational and financial aspects of Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center. Stephan’s hotel management background includes marketing and sales, daily operations, finance, food and beverage management, and customer service. Most recently, he was the general manager for Embassy Suites Denver Downtown, a flagship property for the global brand.

Bill Hume has more than 20 years of hospitality experience with top tier hotel and brands. He will be responsible for overseeing all marketing and sales opportunities for Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center. Bill’s versatile hotel management background includes IACC conference center and resort selling, food and beverage management, marketing and sales, and daily operations. Most recently, he was director of group sales at The Omni Interlocken Resort and Spa.
