Austin, Texas (April 4, 2024) — Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) is inviting 200+ participants to its new HITEC Technology Investment Conference, an event designed to provide investors with a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality technology landscape and the companies who contribute to it. Scheduled for June 27–28 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the conference will be co-located with the 2024 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) where 325+ companies, from start-ups to established global brands, will present the latest innovative technology solutions to the hospitality industry. Bridging from this larger showcase, the investment conference will connect exhibiting company executives, investors, and M&A consultants for the opportunity to discuss potential partnerships. Attendance is by invitation-only, allowing HFTP to balance the make-up and interests of participants, and encourage effective outcomes.
“There are many excellent hospitality investment conferences — like ALIS, Hunter, The Lodging Conference and NYU,” said HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE. “While we are sensitive about not duplicating efforts and creating yet another industry investment conference, we think there is opportunity for this niche conference because none of these specifically address hospitality technology. Because of this, HFTP is introducing HITEC Technology IC. Attached to HITEC, this offers the ideal set-up for investors to review what technology is used and in development across the industry, and allows exhibitor executives to easily and economically participate since they are already present at HITEC.”
HITEC-IC will commence on the final day of HITEC with an orientation and overview of hospitality technology for the attending investors presented by Floor Bleeker, group chief technology officer for ACCOR. The investors will then be led on escorted tours of the HITEC exhibit hall by some of the world’s most renowned hospitality technology experts.
Upon the close of the exhibit hall, exhibiting company executives will be invited to join the investors for additional education and round-table discussion sessions centered on assigned technology topics, with programming continuing through the second day of the event. This is designed to provide investors with an informed and frank viewpoint of where hospitality technology is today and allows participants to engage in discussions on how to support the industry’s technological direction.
