Thorstenson brings an impressive understanding of the luxury hospitality industry to THE MAIN, with over 30 years of experience in hotel management at notable properties across the country, including several AAA Four Diamond rated hotels & resorts.
As Managing Director of Hilton Norfolk THE MAIN, Kevin C. Thorstenson oversees all hotel operations, including sales & marketing initiatives, food & beverage programming, and meeting & event spaces. He works with THE MAIN hotel team as well as the executive team of parent company, Gold Key | PHR, to ensure that THE MAIN provides the finest experience for every guest. Additionally, Thorstenson manages day-to-day function of the hotel while fostering a sense of community within THE MAIN’s team as well as for guests to the property.

Kevin Thorstenson brings a wealth of expertise to his role at Hilton Norfolk THE MAIN, with his most recent position being General Manager at The St. Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel by Starwood Hotels. Thorstenson managed the property as it underwent a massive multi-million-dollar renovation, helped acquire significant awards and praise following its grand re-opening by building the reputation of the 277 room & suite AAA Four Diamond hotel. Prior to this he was VP of Hotel Operations at another AAA Four Diamond hotel & casino, Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California. There he was part of one of the most successful casino operations in North America, overseeing over 480 employees and all departments in the hotel division. Throughout the years he has gained experience in luxury hotel training, new build construction, hotel restoration, hotel project turn around and positioning, and staff training to a luxury standard. He has also held management positions at AAA Diamond rated properties including Hotel Park City, The Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort, Key Largo Hotel & Casino, and Provo Park Hotel.
