AURORA, Colo. (April 2019) – Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, the recently-opened largest combined resort and convention center in Colorado, is pleased to welcome George Bargisen to lead its food & beverage and culinary teams as the property’s new director of food & beverage.

“George comes to us with years of experience in the hospitality industry and we’re thrilled to have him join our exceptional team here at Gaylord Rockies,” said Rick Medwedeff, general manager for Gaylord Rockies Resorts & Convention Center. “We’re confident that his expertise will help to establish the resort as a dining destination offering diverse, authentic and exceptional cuisine, and we’re excited to see the impact his leadership will have on our new property.”

In his new role as Gaylord Rockies’ director of food & beverage, George will function as the strategic business leader of the property’s food and beverage operation, including restaurants/bars, room service and banquets/catering. His first day was April 7. Most recently, George served as hotel manager of the JW Marriott, Indianapolis, where he earned #1 Hotel ESS for the JW Brand in 2017. He has an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from The Culinary Institute of America.
