(Oct. 6, 2023)Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco has announced today the appointment of Johan Monterrat to director of food and beverage of the iconic San Francisco hotel, home to 231 guest rooms and 46 suites, and all-day dining at its award-winning restaurant, MKT Restaurant & Bar. Bringing a successful track record of culinary leadership to the team, Monterrat will hone and direct the sophisticated property’s esteemed food and beverage program inclusive of MKT, in-room dining and banquets.

Monterrat brings over 12 years of culinary leadership experience to Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco, including over eight years with the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts brand. Prior to this role, Monterrat held positions at The Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Four Seasons Hotel Montreal where he deepened his love for the hospitality industry and its ability to connect with different people of diverse backgrounds, explore various cuisines, and foster his creativity.

Now, as a vital member of the hotel’s leadership team, Monterrat will play a pivotal role in strategic operational decisions and ensuring that guests experience the highest level of culinary excellence, service and overall dining quality with a focus on a sustainable California-centric menu of seafood, local meats and seasonal produce along with handcrafted cocktails.
