Esteemed Chef Ulises Salas Joins Colorado’s Award-Winning Luxury Guest Ranch
GRANBY, Colo. – May 23, 2024 – C Lazy U Ranch, Colorado’s premier luxury guest ranch getaway, announces the appointment of Ulises Salas as executive chef, effective May 19. In this role, Salas will spearhead the ranch’s culinary operations, guiding the culinary team in crafting ever-evolving fine dining menus, as well as supervising the preparation of regionally sourced delicacies for guests.
With nearly two decades of culinary and hospitality experience garnered from prominent establishments across Colorado and California, Salas joins C Lazy U after honing his craft at the world-renowned Forbes Five-Star and AAA five-diamond resort, The Broadmoor, where he managed a 140-seat dining room, and at the iconic Hotel Jerome in Aspen, where he orchestrated banquets, off-site catering and fine dining services. Most recently, Salas served as executive chef at Gravity Haus’ Slope Room in Vail, following other executive chef roles at La Tour Restaurant, a French bistro in Vail, and at Limelight Hotel in Aspen.
Throughout his impressive career, Salas has demonstrated exemplary leadership within the culinary operations space, including recipe development, seasonal menu planning, kitchen management and inventory control. Hailing from Acapulco, Mexico, Salas brings a deep-rooted appreciation for fresh ingredients sourced from both land and sea, instilled in him from an early age.
