Hotel Online Special Report sentr@NET’s inetHotel Network to be Rolled Out at 150 AmericInn®s System Wide WAN-centric network will provide high-speed Internet access for guest rooms Minneapolis, Minn., May 4, 2000…. sentr@NET, LLC today announced it has been selected by AmericInn International, LLC to be the preferred provider of a multi-purpose communications network that provides high-speed Internet access for guests and meeting rooms. Following pilot installations now underway at selected AmericInn®s in Minnesota and Missouri, the sentr@NET’s inetHotel network will be rolled out to all 150 AmericInn®s across the country.

sentr@NET uses an efficient WAN-centric approach to deliver services to hotels, management companies and franchisers ranging from high-speed guest room Internet access to secure management company/franchiser-wide Intranets. While guest services are a very important part of what sentr@NET’s inetHotelTM network provides, equally important is enabling property groups to deploy centralized services and applications including two-way reservation systems, e-purchasing systems and shared yield management programs. The inetHotel network also opens the door for lower cost connectivity and communications services such as group-wide email, voice-over IP between properties and video training that can positively impact the management and operation of multiple property organizations.

“AmericInn® understands the value of having a single global network that delivers high-speed Internet services to guests, supports their current communications and operational processes, and enables new initiatives such as two-way reservation systems and centralized purchasing,” said Ian Mackay, president and chief executive officer of sentr@NET.

“sentr@NET’s inetHotel network will provide convenient, reliable, high-speed Internet access for guest and meeting rooms at AmericInn®-owned properties, and will be offered, as part of our master agreement with sentr@NET, to the owners of franchised and managed AmericInn® properties as well,” said Luke Fowler, president and chief executive officer of AmericInn International, LLC. “The efficiencies of this company-wide network and the accompanying guest Internet access is very important to AmericInn International, LLC as well as to our current and future franchisees as we strive to provide this critical amenity for business and leisure travelers.”
