SONOMA, CA – August 12, 2021 – Lat33 Capital, formerly known as IMH Financial Corporation, and Urgo Hotels & Resorts announce the appointment of General Manager Milan Drager to Sonoma’s iconic MacArthur Place Hotel & Spa. With a career bolstered by two decades of experience inclusive of Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond properties, Drager aims to draw upon his unique and extensive hospitality expertise to guide MacArthur Place forward following its recent $25 million renovation.

“We are pleased to have Milan join the team and look forward to having his leadership at the forefront to uphold MacArthur Place’s legacy of genuine hospitality and service,” said Richard V. Riccio, Vice President of U.S. Operations at Urgo Hotels & Resorts. “Milan’s background in progressive and luxury hospitality, his fresh perspective on guest experience, and keen community focus will all serve to further the evolution of the MacArthur Place experience.”

A self-identified global citizen, Drager has held a variety of roles across the industry, including Director of Food and Beverage with the Mandarin Oriental Group in San Francisco, as well as with Hilton International in Hawaii. Most recently with the Shangri-La Group, he spent the last nine years in several international management positions at properties throughout Australia, Tokyo, and Myanmar. Prior to joining the MacArthur Place team, Drager was the General Manager at Shangri-La Vancouver.

“MacArthur Place embodies all that is reminiscent of what inspired my career in the hospitality industry,” said Drager. “There is a certain serenity and natural beauty in wine country that is unrivaled—the bounty of the land, the convivial spirit of the people and community all make this area very special, and I’m thrilled to be part of this next chapter for MacArthur Place.”

Drager’s love and knowledge of hospitality stems from childhood, where guests were often welcomed into his family home over a shared meal. Driven by his intellectual curiosity, he ultimately turned these values into a career, earning his Masters of Business Administration in Hotel Management degree from leading hospitality school, École hôtelière de Lausanne, in addition to receiving certifications in hotel real estate investment, asset management and business administration from Cornell University.
