KEY WEST, FL – Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants announces the executive leadership team at the forthcoming Kimpton Key West, slated to open its doors in early 2020. Cheryl Martin has been named General Manager while Megan Coccitto has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the five-hotel collection, which holds a total of 219 keys. Centrally located in Old Town, Kimpton Key West boasts everything from estate-like guesthouses to charming bungalows and original conch houses, all containing the friendly vibe for which Kimpton is renowned.

Cheryl Martin brings nearly three decades of experience in the hospitality industry to Kimpton Key West, which includes 13 years in total with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants properties. Martin has previously worked at properties such as the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center in Tempe, the Embassy Suites Golf Resort in Paradise Valley and the FireSky Resort & Spa in Scottsdale. She most recently served as the General Manager at the Valley River Inn in Eugene, Oregon, which was awarded Hotel of the Year in 2016 by Davidson Hotels. Martin has overseen the transitioning of the Key West property from its single private ownership to the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants family.

Megan Coccitto, the Director of Sales and Marketing for Kimpton Key West, joined the collection of hotels in August 2019. Coccitto, a hospitality management graduate from Purdue University, brings experience from various departments in hotel operations and has worked in hotel sales since 2011. She previously served as the Director of Sales for Hampton Inn Jacksonville Beach before moving back to the Florida Keys in 2009. Coccitto joined Kimpton from an 8-year stint at Highgate’s Southernmost Beach Resort and Marker Waterfront Resort in Key West as Complex Director of Sales and Marketing.
