Singapore (1 November 2023): The International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), in partnership with the Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP) awarded Vicky Jian, Project Director at Horwath HTL Singapore, with the Rising Star Award Asia Pacific during the HICAP event on 24 October 2023.

Vicky started her journey in hospitality consulting while in college, interning at Horwath HTL Singapore and Shanghai offices, where she developed a strong passion for the field. After graduating from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University in 2014, she joined Horwath HTL as a consultant. Since then, Vicky has gained extensive experience conducting market and financial feasibility studies, valuations, renovation/ repositioning studies, large-scale destination master planning, and operator selections through her involvement in more than 70 projects across the Asia Pacific region. In addition, she leads the publication of the Horwath HTL Hotel Industry Survey of Operations and is a frequent contributor to regional hotel market reports.

ISHC launched the Rising Star Award Asia in 2014 in partnership with HICAP to recognize young, emerging leaders in the Asia hospitality community. Nomination criteria requires an individual be 35 years or younger, currently working and living in Asia and working in the hospitality development and/or investment field. Past Rising Star Award Asia recipients include Calvin Li (2022), Siddhant Jhunjhunwala (2021), Corey Hamabata (2020), Daniel Yip (2019), Kieran Bestall (2018), Peter Harper (2017), Kiichi Mashita (2016), Nihat Ercan (2015) and Christopher Hur (2014).
