WASHINGTON (August 8, 2023)—U.S. Travel Association Executive Vice President of Public Affairs and Policy Tori Emerson Barnes issued the following statement on the Biden administration’s reported new call for federal employees to return to in-person work:

“The Biden plan to return federal workers to the office will benefit far more than team culture. It is also critical to the success and vibrancy of American cities and the return of government travel, which has lagged. We applaud this directive and appreciate the boost this action will give to the economy.”
