Aventura, Florida, February 27, 2018: Turnberry Isle Miami, the iconic resort in the heart of Aventura, today announced the appointment of John Rogers as Hotel Manager. In this newly created role, Rogers will report directly to Jeff Klein, the Vice President and Managing Director of Turnberry Isle Miami, and help him manage all operations as the property doubles its capacity and introduces new amenities. The property is undergoing a significant expansion and upon completion, it will be rebranded as a JW Marriott, a member of Marriott’s prestigious group of luxury brands.

Prior to joining Turnberry Isle Miami, John Rogers served as the Director of Restaurant and Bar Operations at EAST, Miami, a 352-room luxury hotel, and as the Director of Operations for Food and Beverage at the Faena Hotel, a 180-room luxury property. He was part of the opening teams for both properties. Rogers also worked at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, a sister property of Turnberry Isle Miami, for seven years. Most recently, he served as the 1504-room resort’s Director of Food and Beverage. Rogers was responsible for the overall daily leadership and execution of the entire food and beverage program onsite which included 12 venues and more than 1,200 team members. During the course of his career, Rogers has also held positions at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel and the Intercontinental Miami Hotel. Rogers earned a BS in Hospitality Management from Florida International University.

Turnberry Isle Miami is owned by Turnberry, a real estate development company with a 50-year history in South Florida. The resort’s renovation is slated for completion at the end of 2018 and underscores Turnberry’s long-standing commitment to the Aventura community.
