Experienced hotelier with decades of international management experience and luxury consultancy joins the renowned London property as it enters its second decade.

Rosewood London has appointed Tessa Gorman as their new Managing Director. Tessa will bring a wealth of expertise in global luxury travel to her new role, which will start 1 January, 2024. The ultra-luxury hospitality brand’s European debut, Rosewood London has transformed the Holborn ‘Midtown’ area of London since its opening in 2013, ingratiating the property with the local community as well as with international travelers. The hotel has played a significant part in the London hospitality scene, introducing new concepts and partnerships alongside legacy activations such as The Pie Room and the Art Afternoon Tea, which are equally as popular today as at launch. Rosewood London recently celebrated its milestone tenth anniversary, with a series of innovative and inspiring partnerships to mark the occasion, and Tessa’s appointment takes the established London hotel into a new era under her leadership.

With nearly 20 years’ experience, Tessa has had a remarkable career within the luxury hospitality sector – inclusive of roles within Aman, Bvlgari and Cheval-Blanc, among others – and will be responsible for all aspects of the hotel operations for Rosewood London. She has held General Manager positions most recently at One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro, as well as Bvlgari Resort Bali and Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Thailand. Prior to this, she acted as a hospitality consultant for brands, working on property launches from an operational perspective and managing ultra-luxury villa properties.

It is a pleasure to welcome Tessa to the Rosewood family and to continue the success of Rosewood London in the UK,” said Victor Clavell, Senior Vice President of Operations, EMEAC. “Tessa brings with her robust experience in luxury hospitality, and we’re confident she will be a great asset to the team.”

Commenting on her appointment, Tessa said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Rosewood family, a brand I have long admired, as Managing Director of Rosewood London. I am incredibly proud to be a part of this beautiful historic property, which has become an integral part of London life. After 17 years, I am returning to my home city, with its timeless blend of history and modernity and vibrant energy; and I look forward to joining the team as we continue to ignite the spirit of the destination into its next decade.”
