New York, New York – July 2023  Park Lane New York, a Highgate-managed hotel positioned on Billionaire’s Row, is thrilled to announce the appointment of its new Managing Director & Vice President of Operations, Niles Harris.

The esteemed industry veteran is no stranger to the Highgate family, having previously spent four years as Managing Director of Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, where his outstanding work and dedication was recognized with the coveted “Make Your Mark” General Manager of the Year Award. During his time there, Harris was also appointed as Chairman of the technology committee on the General Manager’s Leadership Council.

Harris has relocated from Los Angeles, where he was Area General Manager of InterContinental, and was named Outstanding General Manager of the Year in 2023 by the Hotel Association of Los Angeles. He is excited to bring his skill and expertise to the Park Lane New York team.

Harris holds an impressive and prestigious career in the hospitality industry, spanning 30 years in numerous positions across the country. The industry veteran first cut his teeth at New York’s 1,737-room Statler Hotel, gaining comprehensive knowledge as a Management Trainee. He further honed his skills at two of the city’s most iconic properties: the AAA Five Diamond Helmsley Palace and the award-winning Essex House on Central Park South.

Throughout his career, Harris has also held significant leadership positions with acclaimed hotel brands such as Omni, Nikko, IHG, Wyndham, and Starwood Hotels. He has worked in major cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Washington DC, Houston, and San Diego, overseeing operations for renowned, high-profile events such as the Super Bowl, the Olympics, Rose Bowl, MLB All-Star Weekend and World Series, Summit of the Americas, and the US Presidential and Heads of State visits.

As a New York native and graduate of the New York City College of Technology, Harris is dedicated to showcasing the city’s cultural diversity, and is excited to draw on his array of passions, including sport, food, wine and theater, to lead the Park Lane team.
