NEW YORK CITY (JANUARY 11, 2016) – The Omni Berkshire Place, located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, announced the appointment of Steven Kunz as director of food and beverage. He is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest dining experience and overseeing all financial and managerial aspects of the hotel’s culinary operations, including Fireside Restaurant and Bar, catering and in-room dining.

With more than 20 years of hospitality experience in the greater New York City area, Kunz comes to the Omni Berkshire Place from Lotte New York Palace, where he served as the property’s overnight hotel operations manager where he gained valuable rooms experience, and prior to that as the hotel’s restaurant director overseeing all dining venues. He also helped lead the repositioning and renovation of its restaurant operation achieving a best service award in The New Yorker magazine in 2013. Before that, Kunz served as the director of restaurants at the Trump SoHo Hotel. Previously, Kunz served in director of restaurant operations roles for Marriott International, and as director of food and beverage for InterContinental Hotels Group.

Kunz received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University. He is also a veteran, having served active duty in the United States Marine Corps.
