SEATTLE – (February 17, 2015) – Cedarbrook Lodge, the quintessentially Northwest business and leisure destination located less than five minutes from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, completed a multi-million dollar expansion project which added a destination spa, outdoor hot tub and third guest room building to the award-winning property.

The expansion project, designed by GGLO and built by Lease Crutcher Lewis, increases Cedarbrook’s room capacity by 60 percent; bringing the number of guest rooms and suites to 167. The new Alder guest room building is 5-stories with 63 guest rooms, including two Luxury Suites, and Cedarbrook’s signature communal Living Room with 24/7 complimentary snacks, sitting areas, TV and more. The building also features several rooms with a private balcony from which guests can enjoy views of the properties expansive lawn, herb garden, and 11 acres of restored wetlands. The new guest rooms feature high-end fixtures such as alarm clock compatible with Apple mobile devices and MP3 players, Keurig coffee maker, and 42? wall-mounted HDTV’s as well as comfortable furnishings similar to the existing Spruce and Dogwood guest room buildings.

The one-bedroom Luxury Suites are 985-square feet with 640-square feet of living space for entertaining and meetings as well as a 235-square foot private balcony with views of Cedarbrook’s herb garden and woodsy evergreens. The suites feature a King Simmons Beautyrest Black™ Georgetown™ Recharge® Pillow Top bed, floating fireplace, and an option for a connecting room.

Also included in the expansion was the addition of an outdoor hot tub and the new 3,350-square-foot The Spa at Cedarbrook. The Spa draws upon Cedarbrook’s serene and lush location, offering guests a field to forest experience, featuring pure plant botanical spa treatments that take guests on a transformative journey. Opened in October 2014, The Spa is located on the ground floor of the Big Cedar building and adjacent to the award-winning Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar. The Spa consists of two couples rooms; a Vichy shower treatment room; a fireside relaxation room; two aesthetician treatment rooms; four manicure and pedicure stations; a shared serenity suite with soaking tub; separate men’s and women’s locker rooms; and a patio for group events. The Brightwood Board Room, which occupied The Spa’s current space, was relocated to the second floor of the Big Cedar building.
