The companies are delighted to boost tourism in the Mexican market with the signing of three exclusive hotels under the Aloft Hotels and Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brands in Guadalajara, as well as Delta Hotels & Resorts in Puebla.

Mexico City, January 18, 2023 – Marriott International announced today the expansion into important markets in Mexico with the signing of three agreements to bring the Aloft Hotels and Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brands to Guadalajara and Delta Hotels & Resorts to Puebla. With these agreements, the company reinforces its commitment to a strategic expansion in high-growth markets in Mexico, with a growing local and international tourism industry. The properties operating and undergoing conversion will open under the Marriott International brands in 2024.

Located in the Providencia financial district, near mixed-use developments, restaurants, and entertainment centers, Aloft Guadalajara Country Club joins Aloft Hotels’ current portfolio of six properties in the country and will be the brand’s second property in Guadalajara. The hotel will feature 142 guestrooms, a restaurant-bar, and multiple options for groups and business travelers with event venues and several meeting spaces. Keeping Aloft brand’s promise of offering an urban hotel with the best social scene, travelers and residents will enjoy the brand’s signature amenities, such as RE:Charge fitness center and the best lodging option for furry guests with ARF, the brand’s pet-friendly program.

Guadalajara will also welcome the first hotel of the Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brand in the destination and the fourth in Mexico, with Sheraton Guadalajara Expo, which will feature 216 guestrooms and is ideal for travelers seeking the brand’s modern sophistication and a privileged location for business or leisure stays due to its proximity to Expo Guadalajara, one of the country’s most important convention centers. The hotel will offer the brand’s unique wellness programming, such as the Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience and MAYAHUEL Spa, as well as several business centers and the Sheraton Club Lounge, in addition to several food and beverage centers for groups and business travelers.

Guadalajara has positioned as one of the country’s leading business and financial hubs, being the second-largest metropolitan area in Mexico in terms of population. Currently, Marriott International has ten hotels in the destination under six brands, including AC Hotels, Aloft Hotels, City Express by Marriott, JW Marriott Hotels, and Westin Hotels, as well as five projects under development in the medium- to long-term.

As part of the company’s expansion plans, it will also welcome Delta Hotels & Resorts’ second property in the region with Delta Hotels Puebla Mexico. This 154-room hotel will have a privileged location on one of Puebla’s most important avenues, near the Puebla FINSA industrial district and all the state’s cultural and entertainment options. Ideal for travelers who want to maximize their business or leisure trips in Puebla, the hotel will feature a restaurant and bar and 500 square meters of event space.

Puebla is a highly relevant market for the automotive and manufacturing industries.
