NEW ORLEANS, LA (August 19, 2015) – Loews New Orleans Hotel announces Mohan Koka as the new General Manager. With more than 14 years of experience, most recently with the Loews Atlanta Hotel, he brings strong leadership skills, a proven track record in operations, and knowledge of sales and marketing to the property.

“We are delighted to have Mohan Koka as a part of the Loews New Orleans team,” said Dale McDaniel, Vice President of Operations, Loews Hotels & Resorts. “He has demonstrated strong leadership skills, a commitment to team members, and success in enhancing the guest experience, and we are eager to see this continue in New Orleans.”

Koka began his career as a Management Trainee with the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Upon completion of the program, he joined the Sales Department as an Access Sales Manager, where he specialised in booking and servicing smaller groups. During this time, Koka led a team to create a comprehensive sales proposal format that the brand still uses today.

He progressed to take on roles in Housekeeping and the Front Office, resulting in a promotion to Director of Rooms at the Loews Atlanta Hotel. It was during this time that the hotel received a national award for Guest Relations from the American Hotel and Lodging Association. A subsequent promotion landed him in the role of Hotel Manager, where his focus on guest service resulted in the property ascending TripAdvisor’s ranking from #18 to #2 in the city of Atlanta.
