ATLANTA (Nov. 7, 2016) – Legacy Ventures, a leading hospitality company, announced today that the company has completed Phase I of the $9 million renovation currently underway at the Embassy Suites Atlanta by Hilton at Centennial Olympic Park, a 321-room all-suites hotel located in downtown Atlanta.

“The Embassy Suites is the premier downtown hotel for business travelers, meeting attendees, and tourists alike, and the renovation will help it to maintain its status as such,” said David Marvin, president and founder of Legacy Ventures. “Travelers today are seeking walkability and hotels in prime locations to meet their needs. The Embassy Suites offers easy access to the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca Cola Museum, the CNN Center, the College Football Hall of Fame, the Georgia Dome, Phillips Arena and more, making it one of downtown’s top hotels.”

The first phase of the renovation comprised a full upgrade of all suites, including new case goods, window treatments, lighting, artwork, wall coverings, and new bathroom tile and mirrors. The corridors also received a complete refresh with new carpet, wall covering, paint and lighting, and the lobby and atrium received new furniture as well. Additionally, the hotel’s restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, completed a full renovation with a reconfigured bar to add more seating, and a brand new Starbucks was built at the property.

The second phase, including public areas like meeting and pre-function rooms, is slated to begin in late 2016 and will include new carpet, paint, lighting and wall coverings, as well as a new bar in the atrium.

“A significant amount of investment is being made in downtown Atlanta, particularly within the Centennial Park District, the latest of which is the $192.5 million renovation of Phillips Arena which was just announced,” Marvin said. “Visitors and locals alike are returning to the downtown core as these investments are being made.”

Embassy Suites is an all-suite brand featuring a value-add proposition, providing an upscale relaxed environment whether guests are traveling for business or leisure. At Embassy Suites Hotels, every suite offers two bedrooms and guests get more with their stay, including a free made-to-order breakfast and complimentary drinks and snacks at the Evening Reception.

Legacy Ventures developed and manages the hotel, which opened in June 1999 as the first new-build hotel in downtown in 15 years and has received numerous awards for excellence. Since its second year in operation, the hotel has achieved a consistent market share premium over its competitive set of downtown Atlanta’s luxury and upper-upscale hotels.
