May 4, 2023 Oetker Collection is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Jeffries as Executive Head of Sales & Marketing at Jumby Bay Island in the Caribbean, with immediate effect. Set in one of the most beautiful locations in the world, Jumby Bay Island is a private island just two miles off mainland Antigua. Ringed with coral reefs and reachable only by boat, with not a car in sight, the pristine island is a place to unwind and reconnect with nature in the most luxurious of surroundings. Jumby Bay Island is renowned as one of the world’s most exclusive resorts.

A native New Yorker, Jeffries commenced his hospitality career in Los Angeles in 2005 at The Kor Group (now Viceroy Hotel Group) as their first Management Trainee, gaining managerial experience in every hotel across their varied portfolio of properties. After receiving his Masters of Management in Hospitality (MMH) from Cornell University in 2008, which included a position with One&Only Resorts working in their marketing and finance departments, Jeffries relocated to London where he assumed the role of Duty Manager at the iconic Claridge’s in Mayfair.

In 2010, Jeffries joined the Maybourne Hotel Group, parent company of Claridge’s, The Connaught, and The Berkeley, serving in various Sales & Marketing roles for the next 9 years. Working in Maybourne’s New York office, he was responsible for implementing the company’s sales and marketing strategies for The Americas. Jeffries joins Jumby Bay Island from The Mark Hotel in New York, where he has held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing for the past four years.

Jeffries’ new responsibilities will include the development and execution of the annual sales and marketing plan. He will lead the Sales, PR, Events and Reservations team through implementation of effective sales strategies in line with the overall resort positioning. Jeffries will work closely with Jumby Bay Island’s Managing Director Will Oakley, in addition to Oetker Collection’s Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Communications, Simon Neggers, to deliver results.
