BALTIMORE (January 5, 2015) – Hunt Valley Inn, a Wyndham Grand, the premier destination for meetings, conferences and social escapes in the greater Baltimore area of Maryland's historic horse country, announced today the appointment of Donna DeClementi as Director of Sales and Marketing. In her new role, DeClementi is responsible for spearheading all sales and marketing efforts for the 392-key property, following the recent unveiling of a transformative end-to-end redesign that touched every interior space and significantly elevated the hotel's amenities, food and beverage and service approach. DeClementi brings more than 20 years of growth in hospitality and customer service operations with a specialty in hotel group, catering and conference sales. At Hunt Valley Inn, she will build on the hotel's longstanding reputation as Baltimore County's leading conference hotel with the area's largest collection of convention spaces and distinctly park-like campus style layout. "Donna is a well-respected business leader and marketing strategist with demonstrated expertise in creating a memorable guest experience," said Martin Svigir, General Manager of Hunt Valley Inn. "Her extensive background leading revenue strategy and establishing brand loyalty make her the ideal candidate to lead the introduction of the new Hunt Valley Inn experience to business and leisure travelers and travel advisors. Most recently, DeClementi served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Crowne Plaza Hotels in Rockville, Md., where she established, maintained and executed successful sales and catering initiatives. Under her leadership, group revenue rose exponentially and consistently exceeded target goals. DeClementi also held the position of director of sales and marketing at Sheraton Rockville Hotel, where she led revenue strategy across all segments for the hotel's sales and catering team and developed integrated market strategies that efficiently positioned the brand within key target markets. Prior to Sheraton Rockville, DeClementi spent six years with Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), beginning at the Intercontinental Buckhead and then moving to the DC area for the renovation and repositioning of both the Crowne Plaza hotel and Holiday Inn hotel as assistant director of sales. In 2008 she was recognized by IHG Global Sales as a "Partner of Excellence." DeClementi spent seven years as an international consultant in Cairo, Egypt working on projects including the opening of the Conrad Cairo and implementing special tourism events and programming for the Community Services Administration. DeClementi has deep roots in the Maryland community, having graduated from the University of Maryland. For more information call 410.785.7000 or visit www.huntvalleywyndhamgrand.com.
