(September 21, 2023) – MOLLIE Aspen, a new 68-room boutique hotel, is now accepting reservations for early 2024.
The new property comes from HayMax Capital, a leading local development firm specializing in Aspen hospitality and residential development, who enlisted award-winning studios Post Company for interior design, and CCY Architects for architecture, along with Gin & Luck, the group behind the critically acclaimed Death & Co. brand, to curate the hotel’s food & beverage programming.
Drawing inspiration from the many individuals that shaped Aspen throughout its history (including the inimitable Mollie Gibson and others) known for their restless enthusiasm for the outdoors, ability to bring people together and passion for art, design and freedom of expression, the hotel pays homage to their significant contributions to Aspen’s early social, artistic, and adventurous fabric.
In addition to thoughtfully designed guest rooms, the hotel offers a vibrant food & beverage program consisting of a lobby bar and restaurant with year-round outdoor seating and a laid-back all-day café. Set atop MOLLIE’s top floor is a rooftop pool and terrace bar that transforms into an intimate lounge by night, with unobstructed views of Aspen Mountain.
MOLLIE’s interiors are subtly inspired by the Aspen tradition of being firmly grounded while gazing abroad – a seamless blend of understated luxury and residential comfort. The property holds a quiet confidence and commitment to a reduction of excess with interiors that thoughtfully utilize native materials from Aspen and the wider Western region, accentuated with natural woods, earthen ceramics, and hand-dyed textiles. MOLLIE’s lobby fosters an inviting atmosphere for visitors and locals alike, where the eclectic mix of differing personas is celebrated and upheld.
Unique, curated experiences specific to Aspen will be offered to guests. These experiences include backcountry skiing with a gourmet picnic lunch led by Aspen’s best guides, private cocktail-making classes at the scenic rooftop bar, and more.
