San Francisco, California (March 3, 2016)Grand Hyatt San Francisco announces the appointment of Anita Rahman as the hotel’s new Director of Sales and Marketing. Rahman was most recently Director of Sales and Marketing at Andaz Maui at Wailea, where she led the efforts in opening the brand’s first resort destination. Having previously held roles at Hyatts in San Francisco, Seattle, and San Diego, Rahman brings with her 16 years of experience with Hyatt, a keen understanding of marketing and sales goals, and a strong familiarity with the city’s hospitality industry.

Rahman began her Hyatt career as Catering and Conference Services Manager at the Park Hyatt San Francisco, and was eventually promoted to Sales Manager at the hotel. After serving in a variety of sales roles at Grand Hyatt Seattle, Hyatt at Olive 8, and Andaz San Diego, Rahman joined the opening team at Andaz Maui at Wailea in 2012 as Director of Sales and Marketing. In this role, Rahman provided leadership and strategy during the launch of the Andaz brand’s first-ever resort destination.

Rahman received her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
