SACRAMENTO, CA (July 10, 2015) Extreme Engineering has named Kris Benken to the newly formed position of Sales Account Manager.

“We got to know Kris while we were building our award-winning Buccaneer Bay for Exploria Resorts in Orlando,” said Phil Wilson, EVP of Marketing for the world’s largest supplier of patented zip lines, climbing walls and adventure products for the amusement and resort industries. “Initially Kris will concentrate on business development in the fertile market of resorts located in Florida and Orlando.”

I fell in love with Extreme Engineering, its vision and its people when they were on site in Summer Bay,” said Kris, who was then Parks Operation Director at the resort. “I learned about the quality and safety of their equipment and the endless possibilities for incorporating its use at timeshare and other resorts.”

Kris Benken, who “grew up in the resort business,” got his start as an activities director and progressed from managing rock walls and climbing apparatus to the Operations side of the business. After 13 years he developed a thorough understanding of resort management’s needs and concerns and is ready to show them how adventure sports attractions can re-engage owners and guests, particularly those who are classified as millennials. Based in Florida for the Sacramento California company, Kris will report directly to Bob Craycraft, EVP of Resorts for Extreme Engineering.
