PENSACOLA BEACH, FL (June 2, 2023) –Corsair Hospitality Group announces the opening of The Pensacola Beach Resort, an independently branded, premium hotel on Florida’s Emerald Coast. The transformation ushers in a new era of hospitality with 161 waterfront guest rooms including 24 Executive King rooms with wrap-around balconies, coastal-inspired public spaces, an elevated pool deck, new restaurant concept, retail offerings, a beach bar, and a curated art collection featuring impressionist maritime images and a nod to the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and local boating culture. As the only resort in the area private to its hotel guests, the property will provide a gateway to the natural beauty of this historic destination through immersive experiences, elevated guest service, and an atmosphere of fun and relaxation.

“The Pensacola Beach Resort aims to set a new standard for travelers visiting our beaches,” said Leigh Taylor, co-founder and principal of Corsair Hospitality Group, Inc., which manages the hotel and other properties in the region. “We are deeply rooted here in Pensacola as our company has been developing and managing hotels along this coast for over 40 years. It’s a unique destination, and we are thrilled to show our guests all that our home has to offer.”

Sitting on over 800 feet of gulf-front property, the resort has 360-degree water views overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, Little Sabine Bay, and the Intracoastal Waterway. Drawing from its famous sugar-white sand beaches and shimmering turquoise waters, the hotel’s elegant coastal design incorporates varying shades of blue, with touches of rum-colored woods and gold. Upon entry, guests will appreciate the West Indies-inspired furniture arranged in the hotel’s expansive lobby, offering a social, multifunctional setting where everyone can find their desired spot to take in the panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico.

The Pensacola Beach Resort features an elevated pool deck overlooking the Gulf, providing a laid-back oasis exclusively for hotel guests to luxuriate in the Florida sun. The pool deck also includes a poolside Tiki Bar serving refreshing beverages and specialty island cocktails.

Also open exclusively to hotel guests, Windrose, the resort’s newly rebranded restaurant, takes its name from Pensacola’s historic maritime culture and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an upscale, casual atmosphere. The menu features a mix of hotel classics and coastal cuisine inspired by the flavors of the area’s Southern roots. Guests can start their day with avocado toast or French toast for breakfast and wind down at dinnertime with blackened mahi-mahi or grouper perfectly paired with a glass of wine.

The resort is also home to The Salty Rose, a vibrant beach bar and grill whose name is a take on a sailor’s watering hole. Open to the public, guests and locals can pop over for island music, beach games, and a menu of fresh salads, local fish sandwiches, and loaded nachos. The Salty Rose will offer a new calendar of programming throughout the year, allowing hotel guests to experience the local culture of soaking up life in paradise.

The Pensacola Beach Resort offers numerous activities for families and guests of all ages. Guests have a private boardwalk out to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico with beach chairs and umbrella rentals available. They also have a private dock on Little Sabine Bay from which they can kayak or paddleboard. Guests can also reserve one of the daytime or sunset Dolphin Cruises aboard an open-air powerboat to see one of the largest populations of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat.

More than just fun in the sun, The Pensacola Beach Resort also features 1,200 square feet of renovated event space for one-of-a-kind meetings, conferences, retreats, or destination weddings. The elegant Lagoon Room holds up to 80 guests. Directly next door is the 11-seat Blue Angels Boardroom featuring professional AV equipment. The hotel also offers on-site catering for all events.

“Today is a special day here on Pensacola Beach as we kick off this new chapter of The Pensacola Beach Resort,” said Kristin Iversen, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Corsair Hospitality Group, Inc. “Our team is eager to welcome our very first guests and loyal customers and show off this unique property and our unmatched location.”

The hotel appointed Jill Vose as its General Manager. With over 25 years of experience, Vose has a proven track record of innovation and respect in the hospitality industry. Most recently, she spent six years as the Corporate Director of Owner/Franchise Services for Marriott International, where she coached and mentored hotel owners and franchise management companies for over 50 hotels in the U.S. and Canada.
