New Delhi, India – November 27, 2017 – Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel groups, accelerated its expansion plans in India by signing 12 new hotels in 2017. The signings add to Carlson Rezidor’s robust pipeline in India where it currently holds a portfolio of 140 hotels in operation and under development across 60 Indian cities, including 16 state capitals. The hotel group is actively pursuing opportunities through management and selective franchising contracts in emerging cities of India.

The new hotel signings are focused across Carlson Rezidor’s global brands Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By Carlson. With the announcement of Radisson RED in Mohali, Chandigarh last year, Carlson Rezidor’s South Asia portfolio now constitutes six well-established and differentiated global brands.

Radisson Blu Dehradun –Located in the state capital of Uttarakhand, Radisson Blu Dehradun provides easy access to the commercial and residential areas of the city and is a gateway to Mussoorie – one of the most popular hill stations of India. The hotel is a greenfield project expected to be operational by 2021.

Radisson Jodhpur is located in proximity to the airport and city center and provides easy access to various tourist attractions like Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Balsamand Lakes and Gardens, Mandore, Mahamandir Temple and Kayalana Lake etc. The hotel will have modern, contemporary rooms with Rajasthani architecture. In addition to an all-day dining restaurant, lounge and bar, the hotel will feature pre-function and meeting space of approximately 9500 square feet. Radisson Jodhpur will start operations in December.

Radisson Mumbai Goregaon is a hotel conversion located at S.V. Road junction near Veer Savarkar flyover in Goregaon West, which is the main commercial and retail hub of Goregaon suburb of Mumbai. Situated at a 45-minutes’ drive from the Mumbai International airport, the hotel offers excellent accessibility to business travelers. The hotel will offer an open-to-sky Middle Eastern restaurant, meeting space, fitness center and swimming pool amongst other amenities and is expected to be operational by December 2017. The hotel will be the first Radisson branded hotel to open in the city.

Radisson Bengaluru City Center is located in the heart of the city of Bengaluru, making it attractive for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel is surrounded with office spaces, restaurants, two premium shopping malls, high street retail at MG Road, government offices, metro line, and Cubbon Park, a popular landmark in the city. The hotel overlooks Ulsoor Lake, making it an immediate image-enhancer for the location. The hotel will feature a rooftop bar lounge, swimming pool, spa and meeting space of 1,300 square feet. The hotel is likely to be operational by Q1 2018.

Radisson Zirakpur is located in proximity to the prominent Ambala – Chandigarh highway and offers excellent access to the major tri-cities of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. The hotel marks entry for the Radisson brand in this market and will cater to guests within leisure, business and administrative sectors alike. The hotel offers excellent connectivity to the residential and commercials areas of Zirakpur and will constitute amenities like business center, business class lounge, all day dining/café, themed bar, fitness center and swimming pool. The hotel is in advanced stages of construction and expected to be operational by Q2 2018.

Radisson Mumbai Andheri MIDC islocated in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) – one of the prominent industrial zones of Mumbai that is home to numerous successful manufacturing units. The hotel’s location offers easy access to major residential and infrastructural developments, commercial buildings, retail, and health care facilities and it will benefit from corporate as well as leisure demand due to its excellent location. The hotel will constitute pre-function and function space of approximately 5300 square feet, fitness center and swimming pool. The hotel is under construction and expected to be operational by 2019.

Radisson Goa Baga is situated in North Goa close to Baga market and lies at the epicenter of all tourist activities, large high street shopping, flea market, eclectic restaurants and bars, water sports etc. The property is strategically located within proximity to the beach and other major micro-markets such as Candolim, Calangut and Anjuna. The hotel can be accessed from Calangut Baga Beach Road as well as Calangut Anjuna main road. The hotel will come equipped with an all-day-dining restaurant and an alfresco restaurant and bar. Radisson Goa Baga will offer meeting spaces of approximately 6,000 square feet, spa and swimming pool. The hotel is in advanced stages of construction and expected to commence operations by 2019.

Radisson Bhopal marks Carlson Rezidor’s entry to the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. The hotelis an upscale property situated in the heart of the residential and commercial hub of the city. Providing easy accessibility to airport, railway station, bus stand as well as main business, industrial and administrative centers, the hotel is ideal for business and leisure travelers alike. The hotel will be equipped with an all-day-dining restaurant, themed bar; deli as well as a fitness center and swimming pool. The hotel is expected to start operations by 2020.

Radisson Kufri is an excellent addition to Carlson Rezidor’s leisure portfolio in India.Kufri is apopular leisure destination amongst domestic travelers and makes for a starting point of popular adventure treks to Manali, Shimla, Rewalsar and Fagu amongst others. Located within 45 minutes drive from Shimla city center, the hotel will constitute a main building and six cottages with panoramic views. Construction of the hotel has already commenced and it is expected to be operational by 2020.

Radisson Rewa will be the first upscale branded hotel in the city of Rewa, Madhya Pradesh and marks a significant step forward in Carlson Rezidor’s strategy of signing hotels in emerging tier III cities. The hotel is located in close proximity to the railway station and the industrial hub of the city and offers good access from National Highway 7. The city center is five kilometers away from the hotel. The hotel will constitute two ballrooms of 6900 square feet and 3800 square feet including pre-function space and a meeting space of 250 square feet. Construction of the hotel has already commenced and it is expected to be operational by 2020.

Park Plaza Kaushambi is locatedin the business and commercial hub of Kaushambi that makes it an important addition to Carlson Rezidor’s Park Plaza portfolio of hotels. The hotel offers excellent connectivity to East Delhi and Noida micro markets. Beside modern and contemporary rooms, Park Plaza Kaushambi will offer a pre-function area and meeting space of approximately 20,000 square feet and will be equipped with a fitness center and swimming pool. The hotel is in advanced stages in construction and is expected to commence operations by Q4 2018.

With Country Inn & Suites by Carlson Bareilly, Carlson Rezidor has established its first mover advantage in the citywhich currently does not have anybranded hotels.The hotel is a greenfield project where construction has commenced and is expected to be completed by 2021. Located within six kilometers from the city center, the hotel adjoins National Highway 24 and Bareilly Railway station offering easy accessibility by rail and road.
