Leading Receptive Tour Operator Teams with UNLV to Helps Industry Leaders Stay One Step Ahead, Through New Educational Programming and Original Content – The Bonotel Brief

Las Vegas, April 16, 2015 -Bonotel Exclusive Travel, North America’s leading receptive tour operator, announced an exclusive partnership with the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), and the launch of the Bonotel Brief, a regular industry “insider” report that delivers cutting edge content and information to keep hoteliers, international tour operators, travel agents and other leaders one step ahead of key trends shaping the industry.

Faisal Sublaban, President at Bonotel, said, “We are excited to launch this partnership with UNLV, along with the Bonotel Brief. These are two components of a long-term strategy to reinforce Bonotel’s position as both a leading purveyor of luxury travel arrangements in North America – and a trusted provider of exclusive content, data and educational material and programming for our suppliers and customers.”

He concluded, “Our customers and suppliers have told us that in an age of disruption, fast-paced change and intense competition, what they need most is a full-service sales and marketing partner. When our founder and CEO David Sporn created the company 25 years ago he had a vision rooted in luxury and preferred partnerships. Over time this vision has not wavered, in fact it has only sharpened. It is this same vision which guides us today and has allowed us to become one of America’s largest inbound tour operators.”

Bonotel generates more than 1.25 million room nights annually, and works with more than 2,000 international tour operators in every major and emerging market. Bonotel contracts with 2,800 distinctive hotels in North America and the Caribbean, and is experiencing better than 20% growth year over year. In 2014, in support of Bonotel’s continued worldwide growth, The Carlyle Group, a leading global private equity company, acquired a majority stake in the company.

Dr. Stowe Shoemaker, Dean of the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, said, “We are delighted to partner with Bonotel on a broad-ranging series of initiatives that will keep key players informed of the most important trends shaping our industry, as together, we develop a new generation of industry leaders. One part of College’s mission is cultivating career opportunities for our students, and this partnership will expose students to an important part of the travel distribution channel. At the College, we also develop theory to help drive practice. Bonotel’s international profile, with its headquarters here in Las Vegas, will help us marry theory to practice, right here in our own backyard – a real “win-win” for both organizations. “

The Bonotel-UNLV partnership plans to include elements such as jointly sponsored industry and consumer research; internship and unique in-class programming opportunities for students; and targeted publication placement and presentation opportunities for UNLV faculty.
