Hal Mayfield, Greg Timko, Scott Darnall Joining Brokerage Firm HotelBrokerOne Dallas, TX – March 27, 2000 – The hospitality brokerage firm of Bruce Holmes & Associates made two announcements today starting with a new name and finishing with a new office.
Beginning this coming month Bruce Holmes & Associates (BHA) will be changing it’s name to HotelBrokerOne. “This has a direct brand symmetry with our website, HotelBrokerOne.com” stated C.O.O. Peter Holmes from their corporate office in Oklahoma City. The company’s website has been known by HotelBrokerOne since its inception in 1997. “We have a history of market innovation and these changes are indicative of our firm’s strong commitment to evolve and grow our brand” said Holmes.
In conjunction with that commitment to growth, the firm welcomed the engagement of well-known industry figure Hal Mayfield and the opening of a branch office in Dallas. Mayfield has been active in hotel brokerage for the past several decades, including an 18 year stint with Grubb & Ellis. Mayfield will hold the title of Vice President with the newly re-christened company.
Greg Timko, also formerly of Grubb & Ellis will join Mayfield in the Dallas location. Additionally, Scott Darnall, formerly of Sunstone Partners and Starwood will be joining HotelBrokerOne’s Phoenix operation.
“Adding three professionals with the stature of Hal, Greg and Scott to our ranks will benefit our clients tremendously” remarked C.O.O. Holmes.
Holmes also stated that the prominence of Dallas in the hotel industry today figured significantly in the decision to open a Dallas facility. He reiterated “There are so many really prestigious hotel companies with operations in Dallas we just felt it was important to our ability to service our clients to have an office close to them”.
Asked about continued plans for growth Holmes stated “We have a lot on our plate right now, but we are committed to our national presence which means we won’t rule out additional expansion in the future”.
