Hotel Online Special Report Tour Operators Find Best Western in a League of its Own Enhanced FIT program offers global rates and consolidated billing PHOENIX, March 28, 2000 – Best Western International becomes the exclusive mid-market hotel chain offering tour operators a global FIT and centralized billing program. The program, which is being introduced to tour operators this week at ITB, provides a number of beneficial features that make booking Best Western hotel rooms worldwide much easier.

The premiere feature of the program is the ability to book any of the nearly 2,000 participating Best Western hotels from 45 countries around the globe and receive centralized billing and payment administration. Additionally, tour operators can use this centralized billing program when booking rack rates for a particular hotel that may not be participating in the FIT program, or for any of Best Western’s 4,000 hotels.

“We are very excited about how this global FIT program makes booking easier for tour operators,” explains Wayne W. Wielgus, vice president Worldwide Sales and Marketing. “It provides a tremendous reduction in stress and paperwork for tour operators who can rely on one monthly Best Western invoice, but still receive the benefits of our large portfolio of hotels.”

Once tour operators have applied for this global tour program and establish a security deposit, they will have access to net rates for nearly 2,000 hotels around the world, have the ability to book rack rates at all Best Western hotels and receive one monthly invoice for charges.
