Hotel Online Special Report George Terpilowski Named GM at The Washington Monarch Hotel June 7, 1999, Washington, D.C. – The Washington Monarch Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of George Terpilowski as General Manager.

Terpilowski was formerly the General Manager of the five-diamond Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia. Terpilowski brings a wealth of experience in operating luxury hotels to The Washington Monarch. Under Terpilowski’s direction, properties such as The Clift Hotel in San Francisco and the Grand Heritage Hotels in Nashville and Palm Beach have prospered. In his capacity as General Manager of The Washington Monarch Hotel, Terpilowski will direct the luxury hotel’s $12 million renovation, which will begin this summer.

Kenneth Widmaier, the Washington Monarch Hotel’s former General Manager, has been promoted to Managing Director, a position with regional responsibilities. His base of operations will remain in Washington, D.C.
